Life Builders Africa Mission is a faith-based non-governmental organization with a mission to transform, impact, empower and shape children and young people through mentoring, education, care, training, and development.
Our programs focus on children, especially orphans and vulnerable children and young people abused, abandoned, and troubled children and young people, including pregnant teenage girls.
We educate, train, and develop children and young people, and feed, clothe and shelter orphans and vulnerable children.
Our work spans Abuja, Abia, and other States in Nigeria. We have taken short-term missions trips to Liberia and South Africa. In 2014 the ministry started a new work in Abia State (Eastern Nigeria), which has grown to reach about 200 children and young people weekly.
When we discovered that many children and young people we were reaching could not read or write, we started Life Builders Nursery and Primary School with 10 indigent children, all on scholarship. The school has grown from 10 children to about 150 children. We hope to start a secondary school in the future to cater to the education needs of the community.
For more than 15 years, we have been involved in outreaches for children, young people, and families; organizing teaching programs and conferences; food/medical missions, training, family and parents’ summits, and for a short time a radio program.
Now, we have weekly outreach, school, a rural literacy project, a back-to-school project, childcare and development, a protein drive, and other projects. We are presently building our children’s home, school, clinic, vocational center, institute, library-ICT hub, and others.
